Wisteria macrostachya
Kentucky wisteria

The alternate and odd pinnately compound leaves typically bear 9 (5 to 11 possible) elliptic-ovate to lance-elliptic 1 to 2 ½" leaflets. The glossy leaflets have a rounded to subcordate base, acuminate apex and entire margins that are rolled slightly downward. The undersides of the new leaves are pubescent initially but only sparingly so at maturity.
