Wisteria floribunda
Japanese wisteria

Twining in a clock-wise fashion, the gray-brown stems bear 2 woody peg-like projections, one on each end of the leaf scar. The peg-like projections can be very small and difficult to find on some nodes and up to 1/8" and very obvious on others. The stems are initially yellow-brown when young turning gray-brown with age.
