Viburnum sieboldii
Siebold viburnum

Culture: Like most viburnums, this species prefers moist, well-drained soils and a sunny location. It will tolerate partial shade and is pH adaptable. Pruning is seldom necessary.

This viburnum is relatively trouble-free. Some minor insect pests are possible, but easily controlled.

Usage: The Siebold viburnum makes an excellent specimen, screen, or addition to the back of the shrub border. Among available cultivars is 'Seneca,' which has large panicles of waxy white flowers followed by long persistent reddish-orange drupes that eventually turn dark red and ultimately black.
