Viburnum x rhytidophylloides
Lantanaphyllum viburnum

Opposite, simple and narrow ovate, the large 3-8" rugose and leathery leaves are semi-evergreen, holding on late in the fall and often into winter. Although the leaves resemble those of Viburnum rhytidophyllum, these leaves are larger, less rugose and more serrated. The dark green foliage has impressed veins, an acute apex and rounded to cordate bases, and a leathery feel. When plants are young and vigorous or are rejuvenated, leaf sizes can be considerably larger. The semi-evergreen leaves often turn an unattractive brown during the cold winters of the Midwest.
