Judd viburnum

Similar to those of Viburnum carlesii, the gray pubescent flower buds are borne at the ends of the stems are appear to be an aggregate of smaller buds. The 1/3 to ½" diameter flower buds are frequently subtended by naked foliose vegetative buds that extend beyond the flower buds. The lateral naked foliose vegetative buds are rusty brown pubescent and ¼ to 1/3" long.
