Accolade elmCulture: This adaptable and fast-growing tree tolerates moist to dry soils in full sun to partial shade. It is easy to transplant and reported to be adaptable to most soil types except those that are wet. This hybrid is reported by the Morton to be resistant to Dutch elm disease, elm yellows and elm leaf beetles.Usage: Useful as a shade tree in home and commercial landscapes, as a street tree or in a park. This cultivar has been used in continuing breeding work to produce the cultivars 'Morton Glossy', trademarked as Triumph; 'Morton Red Tip', trademarked as Danada Charm; and 'Morton Stalwart', trademarked as Commendation. |
