Robinia pseudoacacia
Black locust

Named after Vesputian Robin who introduced this species to Europe, Robinia pseudoacacia is a medium-sized deciduous tree known for its fragrant and pendulous racemes of white flowers in late spring.

Habit:Oval to oblong suckering tree, rounded if grown multi-stemmed, open and irregular with old age
Size:Commonly 30-50' high but can grow 60-70' high
Color:Dark blue-green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 4b USDA
Habitat:Pennsylvania - Georgia - Oklahoma - Missouri
