Pseudotsuga menziesii
Douglasfir

Of little ornamental interest, the flowers are small, monoecious and open in late April to early May.

Oblong, 3/4" long, borne axillary, and orange-brown to tan-brown.

Resembling the mature cone in appearance, the red flowers are oblong, 3/4" long, short-stalked, and terminal to subterminal.
