Prunus sargentii
Sargent cherry

Alternate, simple and broad elliptic-obovate, the 3-5" leaves have a long and often narrow acuminate apex and a rounded to subcordate base. The petioles bear 2-4 glands near the blade. The margins are sharply denticulate, with acuminate teeth, but the serrations are less finely pointed than those of {LINK ITALIC] {Prunus serrulata}.
