A large, rounded and adaptable shade tree that is fast growing, messy and weak wooded.

Habit:Pyramidal in youth, the habit becomes vase-shaped with a rounded crown; often becoming irregular with old age
Size:75-100' high
Color:Medium green to slightly yellowish green
Texture:Medium-coarse in summer, coarse in winter
Hardiness:Zone 3a USDA
Habitat:Montreal - Florida - Texas - North Dakota, this range consisting of a number of subspecies; frequently in flood plains
