Pinus strobus
White pine

Slender and soft to the touch, the 3-5" evergreen needles are borne five per fascicle. They are slightly twisted and flexible with finely toothed margins. The needles persist only two or three years and the 1/2" orange-brown leaf sheaths fall as the needles mature. The slender condition of the needles lends a finer texture to this pine.
