Physocarpos opulifolius
Common ninebark

If renewal pruned regularly, the common ninebark can be a useful ornamental shrub, presenting a nice flower and fruit display on a dense, rounded form. It is a tough and relatively trouble-free medium to large deciduous shrub.

Habit:Rounded and dense with arching branches, can be somewhat irregular and leggy if unpruned
Size:5 to 9' high
Color:Bright yellow-green in spring, becoming green in summer Texture: Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 3a
Habitat:Quebec - North Carolina - Arizona - Minnesota
