Lonicera sempervirens
Trumpet honeysuckle

Culture: Best grown in full sun for maximum flowering, but it will tolerate light to moderate shade. It is easy to transplant and is pH adaptable.

This species will have occasional problems with aphids. They are not difficult to control, but every several years an infestation may be heavy enough to require control measures.

Usage: This vine produces nice displays of flowers and fruits over the entire summer. Being a twining vine, this species needs support, such as a trellis, lattice or wire fence. It is usually not considered dense enough to be a screening vine. There are a number of selections for red and yellow flowers and a stronger tendency to continuously flower all summer.
