Crepe myrtle

Variable in arrangement, the leaves can be opposite, alternate or even whorled. The leaves are simple, 1 to 2 3/4" long, elliptic or obovate entire, and have a very short petiole. The new foliage can be yellowish-green, bronze or reddish-purple, depending upon selection.
