Hydrangea paniculata
Panicled hydrangea

Opposite or whorled in arrangement, the elliptic leaves are 3-5" long, 1 1/2 and fairly finely serrate. The leaves of this species are narrower than those of most other hydrangeas. Shoots terminating with inflorescence are more likely to be whorled, whereas vegetative stems are usually opposite.
