Clethra alnifolia
Summersweet clethra

White, very fragrant, and borne in 2 to 6" long upright racemes, the 1/3" flowers are borne from July to August, lasting 4 to 6 weeks. The late flowering time and pleasant fragrance makes them a welcome addition to the summer garden. Selections with a light pink flower color are also available.
