Campsis radicans
Common trumpetcreeper

Yellowish brown and glabrous, the moderately thick stems bear large shield-shaped leaf scars that are connected opposite from each other by a distinctive raised hairy ridge. Root-like holdfasts form where the stems contact other surfaces. The stem pith is a solid pale brown.
